Deyehedi:yaks (She Crosses the Field), Nancy Washburn is Mohawk, Turtle Clan from Niagara Falls, NY, with her family roots in the Six Nations of the Grand River, where both of her parents are from. She has been a beadwork artist for over a decade, which has turned into a personal passion. As a hobby artist, Nancy's work draws inspiration from her Haudenosaunee culture and traditions, which reflects her connection to her heritage.
