Kraken Kids Game Auditions

We are hosting our annual Kids Game, presented by WaFd Bank, and it’s time to show us your talents!  We have six open roles for local kids to be part of our game. The game is on January 19th vs the Penguins at 2pm.  

Roles: 

  • Jr Writer – This role will work alongside our Chief Editor Bob Condor to help write a story about the game that will be posted on our Kraken Website. (Role duration: Full Game and post-game) 

  • Jr In-Game Host – This role will work with our in-game host, Strawberry, roaming the arena for live on-camera announcements throughout the game. (Role duration: Full Game) 

  • Jr Public Address Announcer – This role will work alongside our PA Announcer, Chet Buchanan and take part in live PA reads and game calls. (Role duration: Full Game) 

  • Jr KJR Radio Host– This role will work with KJR and Mike Benton in the radio booth for a portion of the game that will air during broadcast. (Role duration: Done after 2nd intermission) 

  • Jr Kraken Hockey Network Desk Reporter – The role will work with Alison Lukan and Piper Shaw to record a pre-taped segment that will air during broadcast. (Role Duration: Done by 1st intermission) 

  • Jr Kraken Hockey Network Broadcast Booth Announcer - The role will work with Ian Furness and JT Brown to record a pre-taped segment that will air during broadcast. (Role duration: Done by 1st intermission)

Qualifications for any of these roles: 

  • Outgoing, fun, confident reader, articulate, animated, not afraid to speak on camera or in front of large crowds, experience in live performance is a plus. 

  • Some roles will require a virtual rehearsal prior to the game. 

  • Kids must be between ages 10 – 16 

  • Must be able to arrive by 10am on game day and stay through the end of the game. 

Each role will receive 2 game tickets. If the role duration isn’t the full game, the participant can use a ticket to attend the rest of the game along with one parent or guardian. (Travel not included with tickets) 

 

 Selected participants will be notified no later than December 12th. 

The art wall will begin accepting submissions on 
Monday, November 17, 2025 at 12:01 AM PST.
